Our "Elements" series returns for it's third edition. We've invited four artists that may be familiar to many, as they've been making great strides in their musical progress. Please welcome Julian Nates, Kenan Savrun, SAJAY & Rudra for their Juicebox Music debut appearance.
First up is Julian Nates, an Argentinian artist based in Córdoba. At a young age of just 4 years old, Julian embarked on his musical journey through traditional violin, piano & drum lessons, eventually developing an interest towards electronic music when he reached the age of 23. Honing his skill & style, his music quickly got picked up by Framewerk who gave him his first official release in 2017 on their label - Capital Heaven. Since then, he's had the privilege of having his music released on well respected labels like Nick Warren's "The Soundgarden", Antrim's "Or Two Strangers", Juan Pablo Torrez' "Clubsonica" & Mango's "Mango Alley". Julian gracefully enters into Juicebox Music with 'Entropy', a bouncy low-end groove paired with a memorable melodic riff & interspersed chord stabs.
Kenan Savrun from Ankara (Turkey) is up next. Building his career through the early 2000's, Kenan's DJ sets have gained him incredible local support where he's earned to share the stage with Nick Warren, Cid Inc, GusGus, Budakid & many more. Although he's relatively new to producing music, Kenan has seen world-wide support through his formative releases on Ziger's "Eat My Hat", Tash's "Movement" and Chris Cargo's "If You Wait". Known for creating airy atmospheres, deep grooves & rhythmic melodies, Kenan takes those key characteristics into overdrive while presenting 'Sanguine'.
Hailing from Colombo (Sri Lanka), SAJAY burst into his local scene in 2018 thanks to a vibrant sonic palette that bends the boundaries of contemporary genres. Drawing inspiration from his Sri Lankan roots and his childhood in Kenya, SAJAY's productions have garnered incredible support from renowned artists around the world as well as labels like Tripswitch & Steve Marx' "onedotsixtwo" as well as Mango's "Mango Alley". Sharpening the skills & getting more refined each day, SAJAY's 'Subterranean' is a testament to his growth as a producer, showcasing power & quality through patience & subtlety.
To close the third edition of 'Elements', we've come back home & called in Kolkata (India) based - Rudra. His rise-to-fame came through 'Lakshya', an album that was released on "aboriginal" which displayed his exquisite production & songwriting skills. After being a seasoned producer for nearly a decade, he moved away from his previous sonic-avatar to reinvent himself in a more deeper & melodic space. With a gorgeous release on Madloch's "Future Avenue" to kick-start this new sonic story, which also features a downtempo edit via his Vichitra alias, Rudra's vision seems to be set on the right path. We're thrilled to welcome him to the Juicebox family with his single - 'Vichlit', a perfectly balanced contrast between heavy & dark versus ethereal & cosmic.
